Currently expanding, our client is looking for a highly motivated and talented Creative Blog Writer to join their awesome Limassol team!
The Blog Writer and Editor will help make Movavi Blog a compelling digital media source for all things video editing. Your work will encompass creating and adhering to content plans writing compelling blog posts as well as work with and edit posts from freelance authors. Your work will be critical in a number of areas including general web presence, brand awareness, and demand generation. We are looking for a professional, with a good sense of what makes an interesting story.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining style guidelines for content personality, tone and voice according to Movavi's branding
- Find new freelance authors and edit their texts in accordance with style guidelines
- Thorough knowledge of linguistics, grammar, punctuation, style, editing, and design concepts
- Assist project manager in production and fulfillment of the blog's content plan
- As may be needed, assist with production of multi-media content, including videos
- Brainstorm content ideas, solicit pitches, edits, and publish stories
- Exhibit flexibility and remain responsive to changes
- Initiate new practices that benefit the blog team and streamline productivity
Required Skills and Background:
- 1+ years of experience in editing digital content
- Experience with WordPress or other content workflow tools
- Experience using and adhering to style guides
- Strong proofreading skills, attention to detail, and impeccable grammar
- The ability to work in a team environment
