CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an International Online Marketing company with regional offices in Larnaca, we are seeking to recruit an experienced Software Developer, to join their team of professionals.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Work with the team to design and develop software to meet given requirements.
- Assist other members of the team with any queries or troubleshooting.
- Perform peer code-reviews.
- Assist in the upkeep, recovery and maintenance of running services.
- Work in maintaining existing codebase.
- Contribute to the team’s continuous improvement efforts.
Key Skills/Experience:
- University Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 3+ years of software development experience in Web Applications development.
- Exposure to both frontend and backend code is essential.
- Any modern backend language will be considered (e.g. Python, Java, C#.NET, Ruby).
- Exposure in agile software development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Proficiency with RDBMS (MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL etc).
- Working knowledge of Linux systems.
- Working knowledge of source control systems (preferably Git).
- Willingness and passion for learning.
- Excellent English communications skills.
- Experience/exposure to the below would be considered an advantage:
- Ruby on Rails experience.
- Other Ruby-based technologies besides Rails (e.g. Sinatra, Goliath).
- NoSQL exposure (e.g. MongoDB, ArangoDB etc).
- Exposure to iGaming sector (online casinos).
- Exposure to payment processing services/gateways.
- BDD, Rspec, Cucumber exposure.
- Working knowledge of Docker containers for local development.
- Familiarity with microservice architecture and message queuing mechanisms (preferably Apache Kafka).
- Exposure to Ansible software provisioning tool.
