Coordinator – Community Nursing / Palliative Care (971/HRS)

The client    

A well-known NGO organisation providing health care services

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have the overall responsibility of the community nursing / palliative care function of the organisation and will report to the General Manager.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Lead, plan and coordinate all the activities of the function and ensure the smooth operation of services

  • Monitor and evaluate the program and services under his/her supervision, prepare relevant reports and make recommendations for improvements and development of new programs

  • Prepare protocols and manuals about the operations the function and re-assess and update them on an annual basis

  • Cooperate with the Area Managers and Coordinators to ensure the efficient delivery of services

  • Attend seminars, workshops, events and meetings in Cyprus and abroad as required

  • Communicate closely with local authorities, health services and other organisations as required

  • Mentor, develop and assess the employees of the function

Required Qualifications

Profile of the ideal candidate

  • BSc in Nursing. MSc in Nursing will be considered an advantage

  • Registered as a General Nurse

  • At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory role within a health services organisation

  • Experience in community nursing and/or palliative care will be considered a strong advantage

  • Excellent managerial and organisational skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Dynamic with an ability to take initiative

  • Computer literate 

  • Very good knowledge of English. Knowledge of Greek will be considered an advantage
