About the role
ProbusFX are inviting applications from experienced Front End Web Developers with at least 2 years’ experience to work on website and portal projects. Excellent front end skills using rich JavaScript frameworks, interactive engaging sites, ability to create graphics, and any PHP experience would be an advantage.
Reporting to the IT Director, this is an excellent opportunity for a strong front-end web developer to achieve their full potential developing front ends for websites, portals, and related projects. An interest in finance is useful. Good working knowledge of WordPress is advantageous. Team oriented skills, an ability to work with minimum supervision, and to meet business deadlines is a must.
Main Responsibilities
- · Working on rich front ends using JavaScript including custom scripting and graphics, as well as any storyboarding and user experience skills.
- · Designing and implementing front end web sites, portals, and allied front ends.
- · Responsible for design, planning and implementation of front end enhancements and new features.
Secondary Responsibilities
- · Post development support.
- · Creating and maintaining a documentation repository for the team.
Selection Criteria
We are looking for the following qualities in our candidates
- · 2 years or more (agile) commercial web development experience with emphasis on interactive websites and data streaming.
- · Experience with a rich JavaScript framework, HTML5, and CSS. Creating custom plugins for WordPress is a definite advantage.
- · Any knowledge of websockets and experience of integration with information sources and feeds is useful.
- · Experience working with versioning systems and build tools is essential.
- · Have a creative mind with a flair for good usability and design.
- · Fluent written and spoken English.
