On behalf of our client Ortnec Services Ltd, we are seeking a high calibre dynamic individual for the position of Senior PHP Software Engineer/Team Leader, who will be based at the company’s premises in Limassol Cyprus.

development, providing the opportunity to work with the newest technologies and frameworks; addressing complex challenges and contributing to the product.
Main Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring a product/ service meets the established standards of quality, including reliability, usability and performance.
- Leading the development team from project/company perspective.
- Planning of releases and tasks.
- Estimating tasks.
- Participating in discussion with the product owner relating to releases, functionality and tasks.
- Motivating the team members.
- Create & manage task for developers in Jira.
Requirements and Person Specification:
- 5+ years of successful experience in IT web projects.
- Strong knowledge of OOP PHP programming.
- Understanding of the principles of relational databases, MVC model, Git.
- Experience of MVC, ORM, AJAX, JS, Agile/SCRUM, API (client/server), web services.
- Modern PHP frameworks experience.
- Good understanding of high-level relational database concepts such as normalization, foreign keys, indexing, the ability to hand code SQL queries.
- Understanding of development process: test coverage, code reviews, version control, continuous integration.
- Strong written and spoken English.
- Strong experience with Jira.
- Ability to effectively conduct technical & business logic discussions directly with Project/Product management, and partners.
- Team leadership experience.
- Experience with Laravel framework – an advantage.
- Practical experience of automation testing – an advantage.
- Must have in-depth knowledge of software development lifecycles (experience in Agile methodologies will be a strong plus).
- Experience in high load projects.
- Curiosity of the last trends of the web.
