Position Overview: The Cosmetic Microbiologist position will be mainly responsible for performing micro testing on water, raw materials and on bulk and finished cosmetic products. Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform micro testing on water, raw materials, bulk and finished products.
- Expected to perform swabbing on all manufacturing equipment
- Accurately perform validation testing on media and test methods
- Perform various identification tests and staining techniques
- To perform Preservative Effectiveness Test according to EU pharmacopoioia or ISO method
- Responsible to troubleshoot microbial issues
- Keep and maintain appropriate records on analysis
- Develop the procedures required for the micro lab according to ISO methods
Key Skills/Experience:
- Educated to a minimum Bachelor degree level in Microbiology or closely related field
- 3 - 5 years of experience in micro lab (cosmetics or pharma preferred)
- Strong knowledge of microbiology and GLP's
- Comfortable with Process and Method Validation
- Have a strong command of quality control processes/systems and cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices)
- Strong knowledge of microbiological principles and methods
- Excellent technical writing skills relative to SOP's and Test Methods
- Exhibit high integrity and maturity
- Demonstrated professionalism in executing testing and lab procedures
- High accountability in meeting deadlines and collaborating with R & D Team
- Positive and constructive attitude
- Credible and confident communicator (written and verbal) at all levels
- Ability to prioritize, demonstrating first class organizational skills and time management skills.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work proactively using own initiative
- Competence to work collaboratively with others to provide a high quality service
- Fluent command of the Greek and English languages
- Excellent IT skills
