Job Description
MPF Global Markets Ltd. a Cyprus Investment Firm licensed and regulated by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission is seeking to employ an experienced Financial Controller/Accountant to join their team in their offices located in Limassol, Cyprus.
Required Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following characteristics:
• ACA/ACCA (or equivalent) Qualified accountant with a strong academic background
• Ideally have a strong accounting background gained within an FX/Investment services environment
• Experience in the preparation of Financial Statements and Knowledge of Cyprus taxation is a must.
• Technical knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs)
• Advanced Excel skills
• Knowledge of various Accounting Software is considered an advantage
• Familiarity with financial regulatory bodies and audits, including CySEC (Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission) considered an advantage
• Good communication, presentation and negotiating skills
• The ability to work quickly, under pressure and to deadlines
• The ability to work to a high degree of accuracy
• Fluency in English and Greek, additional languages would be considered an advantage.
• Able to work on own initiative and a good team player
• Excellent organizational experience
• EU working Permit
• Good analytical skills
• Good time management

Other Requirements
The roll will include the following responsibilities:
• Setup of the necessary technological tools to perform the accounting function, advice on software, software providers, integration to Company Trading Platform.
• Capital Adequacy reporting requirements
• Tax Planning
• Payroll
• Prepare the VAT Returns
• Assist in the preparation of both the consolidated and standalone financial statements
• Assist in controlling and internal auditing of the group’s subsidiaries throughout the world
• Liaise with the External Auditors for the completion of audit, tax return preparation and filing of financial statements.
• Invoicing, bank reconciliations
• Generation of monthly turnover reports
• Enter daily bank transactions
• Prepare monthly financial reports to provide relevant and timely information to Management;
• Budgeting for, reporting and monitoring capital expenditure; plan vs. actual;
Preparation of Balance Sheet and P&L reconciliations, Cash Flow forecasting.
