A Payment Solutions Company in Limassol belonging to a group of very innovative companies is looking for an Underwriting Manager who is a self-starter and enjoys a fast-paced environment to support our global growth. As part of this new role, you would be responsible for reviewing potential and existing clients from a risk, regulatory and compliance perspective. This role is a hands-on position combined with the opportunity to lead the underwriting domain and create the department from scratch, as the company grows.
Responsibilities:
Design & Build our Underwriting and Onboarding procedures
Work with 3rd party software vendors and assist Product and R&D in the development of the relevant systems, as well as the integration of such solutions
Conduct detailed research on current and possible future clients on a range of credit and risk analysis issues to identify potential risks
Perform risk assessments for prospective and existing merchants based on financial and non-financial information
Analyse existing clients who have breached predefined parameters
Keep up to date with key issues; for example: legal, market risk and compliance issues
Answer internal and external inquiries regarding Underwriting issues
Maintain communication & collaboration with clients, merchants & co-workers
Evaluate existing procedures to refine and optimize the end-to-end merchant on-boarding process
Provide support for periodical reviews and audits
Assemble the Underwriting team of analysts and implement procedures
Requirements:
Highly experienced in Underwriting for payment solution; can be underwriting team leader looking for an opportunity
At least 3 years' experience in underwriting / screening / due diligence of business clients for a Payment Solutions company is a must
Familiarity with PCI requirements, ability to analyze financial statements and assess credit risk, knows how to identify PEPs, search through sanction lists, experience in AML, Anti-terror financing, adverse media checks, etc.
Understand KYC Tools & Automation, as well as compliance in Payments
Proven results through the management of others
English at a professional level; other languages are a plus
You are able to work in an independent way, while at the same time you are a strong collaborator, connecting with colleagues and sharing ideas to improve effective teamwork
Flexible working hours and balance work between the office and home.
