Our client is an IT solutions company based in Nicosia looking for a UI/UX Designer to join their expanding team.
They design intelligent, bespoke and intuitive web applications, desktop applications, mobile apps, and provide services that transform brands for their digital transformation.
They are a diverse team of approximately 70 highly talented, enthusiastic software developers, project managers, web designers, digital marketers, analysts and QA engineers.
The team is primarily located in Cyprus, with about a third of employees located abroad from various locations, allowing for an internationally diverse team.
The ideal candidate is a passionate UI/UX Designer who is driven by continual improvement and the need to respond to rapidly changing business needs. Responsibilities:
Creating engaging and user-friendly website designs and graphics
Present and defend your design decisions. All your design decisions should be based on the overall design roadmap as well as your own design thinking and fundamental principles (i.e. color theory, visual weight, etc.)
Create user personas, user journeys and site maps
Converting initial concepts, mock-ups, wireframes and sketches to complete designs and UIs
Gathering and evaluating user requirements, in collaboration with product managers and developers
Conduct research and deconstruct our users' digital interactions and habits
Illustrating design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets
Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables)
Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
Apply user-centric methodologies to design websites, UIs, mobile UIs and online advertising material
Think creatively to produce new ideas and concepts and develop interactive design
Ad hoc support on a day to day basis

Supports continuous development in the Design team
Understand and comply with all applicable company policies and procedures including the company's quality management system (ISO 9001) & Information security system (ISO 27001)
Requirements for the role:
BSc in (Web or Graphic) Design, Computer Science or relevant field
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Knowledge of wireframe tools (e.g. Wireframe.cc and InVision)
Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
Team spirit; strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
Good time-management skills
Knowledge in creating HTML5 banners (Google Web Designer / Adobe Animate CC)
Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role
Generally, around 2+ years proven experience UI/UX roles
Strong UX/UI work experience portfolio, including of online works (banners, websites)
Relevant work experience shown by a portfolio of digital design work which can include sketches, wireframes, user journeys, personas, use cases and prototypes
