Job Description

A Forex Company in Cyprus is extending their business and therefore they are opening a new office in London. To setup the office and to get the CFA approval, they need an experienced Compliance Officer who is previously approved by FCA and he/she will be an Executive Director of this new company.  After the FCA approval (6 - 9 months) the salary will be reviewed.

Responsibilities:

Controls the direction of the company in coordination with the Board of Directors

Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts for the departments 

Ensuring the smooth running of the business and that the business reputation within the market is maintained and enhanced

Communicate and maintain trust relationships with shareholders and business partners 

Oversight of compliance monitoring and associated policies/procedures and systems

Coordinate the preparation of regulatory / compliance reporting

Conducting financial analysis to identify the efficiency and effectiveness of business activities

Oversees employment and ensure there is enough staff to perform the work needed and evaluating where current employees can perform their duties

Identifies risks and ensures appropriate strategies are in place for the mitigation of those risks

Sound knowledge of processes and procedures within the Financial sector Education and/or Work 

Experience Requirements:

University Degree in a Business, Finance or Law related field or equivalent 

Previously approved by FCA preferably in a Compliance role is a must

Knowledge of all operating functions of a Forex/CFD brokerage firm

Knowledge of and experience in Finance, Compliance, and regulation matters within an FCA licensed entity

Experienced in responding to regulatory change and FCA enquiries

At least 5 years' experience of working within the financial sector

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Strong management and organizational skills

Strategic Thinking, Problem Solving, Planning and Organizing, Decision making, Influencing, Leadership skills, Delegation, Time Management

Proven ability to deliver work in a timely manner whilst under pressure within a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment

Very well organizes with attention to detail

Very well-developed communicating skills 

 Compensation: £1,500 - £2,500 depending on the knowledge and experience
